Scope and responsible company
This Policy applies to websites, the Studio, purchases, memberships, support communications, manuscript projects, Message Extenders™, cover creation, and other services operated by Spine & Stature Inc., a Missouri corporation in Clay County, Missouri.
Information we collect
- Account and contact information: name, email, authentication details, preferences, and communications.
- Transaction information: selected plan or service, price, credits, billing status, receipts, refunds, cancellations, and gift-recipient details. Payment providers process payment-card data; we do not need to store complete card numbers.
- Customer content: manuscripts, sermons, speeches, recordings, transcripts, notes, images, biographies, publishing details, feedback, approvals, and files created during a project.
- Author Intelligence and project information: Message Insights™, Author DNA™, book blueprints, review history, project status, and Studio interactions.
- Technical information: device, browser, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, cookies, security events, diagnostic information, and page or feature usage.
- Acceptance records: policy versions, displayed notices, checkboxes, clicks, date and time, account identity, and related evidence of electronic consent.
How we use information
- Provide, personalize, secure, and support services and customer accounts.
- Process purchases, issue and track credits, deliver gifts, and administer refunds and cancellations.
- Analyze, organize, edit, format, and generate requested project materials.
- Communicate about projects, service changes, account security, policies, and support.
- Detect fraud, misuse, infringement, security threats, and violations of our Terms.
- Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain business records.
- Improve reliability, accessibility, workflows, and customer experience using appropriately limited operational information.
AI and service providers
We may transmit necessary customer content and instructions to contracted technology providers that support AI-assisted editing, file processing, hosting, authentication, analytics, communications, payments, security, and customer support. Providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform services for us and are subject to contractual or legal obligations appropriate to their role.
We do not sell manuscripts or other customer content as commercial content. We do not authorize service providers to use customer content for their own unrelated marketing. Provider processing and retention may be governed by their agreements with Spine & Stature and applicable law.
Connected YouTube, Facebook Page, and Instagram accounts
The Studio uses YouTube API Services when you choose to connect a YouTube account. It may access the Google authorization information needed to connect your account and display available channel/video information and captions for videos you select. The Studio does not download or store YouTube audiovisual video content. A caption becomes project content only when you choose it for your project.
When you choose Facebook or Instagram import, the Studio may access Facebook account authorization, the Pages you manage, written Facebook Page post text, and captions from the professional Instagram account linked to the Page. You choose whether to view Facebook posts or Instagram captions, and each selected item is labeled by its source. It does not import a personal Facebook profile or personal Instagram account as project content.
We use connected-account information only to provide the import feature you request. You can disconnect a connection in the Studio’s Content Intake connection manager. Disconnecting YouTube revokes the Studio’s current Google access and removes selected YouTube-caption source records from your saved projects. Disconnecting Facebook and Instagram revokes the Studio’s current Meta access and removes selected Facebook Page-post and Instagram-caption source records from saved projects. You may also revoke Spine & Stature’s Google access through Google Security settings. Google’s handling of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, and use of YouTube API Services is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.

Recordings and transcription
When you ask the Studio to transcribe a recording or authorized podcast episode, we process audio only to create the requested source text. Audio recordings up to 24 MB may be sent directly for transcription. A larger MP3 may be placed in protected temporary storage in upload sections, up to 250 MB, solely to complete transcription; it is deleted after transcription or expiration. For an original MP4, MPEG, or WebM video, the video remains in your browser while the Studio creates a compact temporary audio track for transcription. The Studio retains a transcript as project content only when you choose to add it to the project.
If you separately choose optional on-screen-text extraction for an original video, your browser samples up to 12 still frames to read visible text for your review. The raw video and sampled frames are not retained as project files. This optional feature does not download a YouTube video.
When information may be disclosed
We may disclose information to contracted providers; at your direction; in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets subject to appropriate protections; or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud, enforce agreements, or respond to lawful process. We do not disclose private customer content publicly without authorization unless legally required.
Retention and project deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal and tax obligations, prevent fraud, and protect the service. Standalone credits have a one-year purchase-based use window. An unused standalone credit does not itself create Studio access; after a valid credit use, Studio access for that work continues for 90 days from the use date. Monthly access follows successfully paid subscription periods and approved paid-through cancellation rules; Annual access lasts 12 months. Independent access grants use the latest valid entitlement end date and do not cumulatively stack. Unused membership credits already granted remain usable for one year from the final paid membership day.
After access ends, Spine & Stature may close access and delete or de-identify source files and project materials without an obligation to restore them. Some account, transaction, consent, security, and legal records may be retained longer. Customers are responsible for downloading final deliverables before access ends.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No online service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your credentials and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information by emailing info@spineandstature.co. We may verify your identity and may retain information when legally permitted or required, including transaction, security, consent, and dispute records. You may cancel a recurring membership through the available account or cancellation process and unsubscribe from optional marketing while continuing to receive essential service communications.
Children and sensitive information
The services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. Do not submit another person’s sensitive personal, medical, financial, confidential, or identifying information unless you have lawful authority and it is necessary for the project. Contact us if you believe a child submitted personal information without appropriate authorization.
International use
Spine & Stature operates from the United States. If you access the services from another country, information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations used by contracted providers, where data-protection laws may differ.
Policy changes and contact
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, providers, or services. The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated when required. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to info@spineandstature.co.
